USE CAUTION WHEN WRAPPING PACKAGES AS THE CUT-OFF ROD AND PLATE ARE HOT TO THE TOUCH

1. Place package to be wrapped in the center of the package rest. Using both hands, grasp film at outer edges and with an even, steady, outward motion pull toward yourself enough film to fit over and around the entire package to be wrapped.
2. Place film over package and tuck under around 2 inches of film along the edge farthest from you. As you tuck the film, begin to pull the package towards you. At this time the package will be enclosed within the film. Please note that when you pull the film towards you that the proper film tension and most of the wrinkles have been removed before sealing package.
3. Hold turned under film in place and using both hands, place the package on the hot plate to make the first seal. During this step the cut-off rod automatically softens the film so that it will separate from the film roll.
4. Lift the wrapped package and tuck under the excess film on the sides of the package to make a tight package and then run across the hot plate to make the final seal. Note that the unused film from the roll should be resting on the cut-off rod waiting for the operator to wrap the next package.

Film for Stretch Film Overwrappers
PVC stretch film for wrapping meat and produce, its chemical characteristics provide barriers to protect the product.
Stretch film for pallet wrap is Polyethylene and not to be used on wrappers.

Film Sizing

• The twelve hour timer automatically turns the wrapper off (anywhere from one to twelve hours) after being set.
• The twelve hour timers help to increase the life of the Heating Elements and other electrical components and conserve energy.
• The timer itself consumes no additional energy.
• The twelve hour time replaces the “ON/OFF” switch.

• Check for loose wires.

You must turn knob on the timer past 2 and set back to desired time.

• That is excess protective coating on the heating element burning off and should last no more than 10 or 15 minutes.

Check element then thermostat.

Replace hot plate heating element, if necessary.

A standard 110V Neon circuit tester can be used for testing.

Hot Rod, Circuit Board and Fuse Holder work together. Hot Plate, Thermostat and Element work together. Hot Plate and Hot Rod are independent of each other.

1) Check the fuse - With the power OFF, disconnect red wire from Terminal 1 and secure it out of the way without touching any metal. With power ON, test across Terminals 3 and 4. If tester does not light, replace fuse.
2) Check the circuit board - With the power OFF, disconnect red wire from Terminal 1 and secure it out of the way without touching any metal. With power ON, test across Terminals 1 and 2. If tester does not light, replace circuit board.
3) Test the Hot rod - With the power OFF, disconnect red wire from Terminal 1 and secure it out of the way without touching any metal. With power ON, test between Terminal 1 and end of disconnected wire. if tester does not light, replace the hot rod.

WHEN REPLACING THE HOT ROD OR CIRCUIT BOARD IT IS RECOMMENDED TO REPLACE BOTH SINCE THEY WORK HAND IN HAND WITH EACH OTHER.

1. Check the fuse - With the power OFF, disconnect red wire from Terminal 1 and secure it out of the way without touching any metal. With power ON, test across Terminals 3 and 4. If tester does not light, replace fuse.
2. Check the circuit board - With the power OFF, disconnect red wire from Terminal 1 and secure it out of the way without touching any metal. With power ON, test across Terminals 1 and 2. If tester does not light, replace circuit board.
3. Test the Hot rod - With the power OFF, disconnect red wire from Terminal 1 and secure it out of the way without touching any metal. With power ON, test between Terminal 1 and end of disconnected wire. if tester does not light, replace the hot rod.

♦ This unit should NOT be operated if rod temperature exceeds 300 degrees fahrenheit.  If smoke or fumes are detected, discontinue use. ♦

1) Check the circuit board - With the power OFF, disconnect red wire from Terminal 1 and secure it out of the way without touching any metal. If potentiometer has been adjusted the rod will no longer work correctly. With power ON, test across Terminals 1 and 2. If tester does not light, replace circuit board.
2) Test the Hot rod - With the power OFF, disconnect red wire from Terminal 1 and secure it out of the way without touching any metal. With power ON, test between Terminal 1 and end of disconnected wire. if tester does not light, replace the hot rod.

• The Non-stick Replaceable Cover is not attached.
• When the unit is cooled down, just pull the cover off.

• DISASSEMBLE

1. Unpack the upper and lower film unwind assemblies from the shipping crates and place the units near the machine for easy access.
2. Unplug the electrical cord from the power source. Disconnect the compressed air line from the pneumatic filter/regulator assembly.
3. Remove the pneumatic filter/regulator assembly and the solenoid valve unit from the lower film unwind side plate.
4. Remove all of the side panels on both of the machine support legs. Locate the mounting bolts that secure the upper and lower power film unwind assemblies to the machine support legs.
5. There are three bolts on each side for the upper power film unwind assembly and six mounting bolts on each side for the lower power film unwind assembly.
6. Disconnect the upper power film unwind cable plug from the connector located on the side of the support leg.
7. Remove the lower power film unwind control enclosure located on the machine base support. Disconnect the two electrical wires going from the machine support leg to the enclosure. Pull the two disconnected wires back into the machine support leg and cap each one of the wires separately with a wire nut and electrical tape.
8. With the help of an assistant, remove the mounting bolts securing the upper power film unwind assembly to the machine support legs and remove the film unwind assembly from the machine.
9. Support the machine off of the floor about one inch and secure it in place. With the help of an assistant, remove the mounting bolts securing the lower power film unwind assembly and base to the machine support legs and remove the film unwind assembly and base from the machine.

• RE-ASSEMBLE

1. Make sure that the machine is supported off of the floor and secured in place. Remove the temporary lower mounting bolts that secure the lower film unwind side plates to the machine base center. There are two on each side.
2. With the help of an assistant, slide the new lower film unwind assembly between the machine support legs. Be sure to orient the new lower film unwind assembly so that the film roll cradle is positioned under the machine sealing plate table.
3. Align the mounting holes in the lower film unwind side plates with the mounting holes in the machine support legs.
4. Secure the lower film unwind assembly to the machine support legs with the mounting hardware removed in Step 8.
5. Lower the machine onto the floor and adjust the four leveling feet in the machine base.
6. With the help of an assistant, slide the new upper film unwind assembly between the machine support legs. Be sure to orient the new upper film unwind assembly so that the film roll cradle is positioned over the infeed roller conveyor.
7. Align the mounting holes in the upper film unwind side plates with the mounting holes in the machine support legs.
8. Secure the upper film unwind assembly to the machine support legs with the mounting hardware removed in Step 7.
9. Reinstall the pneumatic filter/regulator assembly and the solenoid valve unit on the lower film unwind side plate.
10. Thread two rolls of on the new upper and lower film unwind assemblies as shown in the diagram.
11. Re-connect the compressed air line to the pneumatic filter/regulator assembly. Plug the electrical cord into the power source.
12. Refer to the operator's manual for proper set-up and operating instructions.

• Fuseholders are only sold as unit, which includes holder and cap. (Fuseholder 1821-013)
• Bearing blocks and core adapters are sold as a set.
• Transformers are no longer available. You need a hot rod conversion kit, which will vary be the size of your machine.
• Replacement wires are no longer available. You need a hot rod conversion kit, which will vary be the size of your machine.

The non-stick replacable covers wear with use.
To prolong the life, always keep the cover clean and free of liquid and debris.
Rotate the cover occassionally.
Reduce friction by using an FDA approved lubricant on the cover.
