PVC stretch film for wrapping meat and produce, its chemical characteristics provide barriers to protect the product.

Check element then thermostat.
Replace hot plate heating element, if necessary.
You must turn knob on the timer past 2 and set back to desired time.
A standard 110V Neon circuit tester can be used for testing.
Hot Rod, Circuit Board and Fuse Holder work together. Hot Plate, Thermostat and Element work together. Hot Plate and Hot Rod are independent of each other.
1) Check the fuse - With the power OFF, disconnect red wire from Terminal 1 and secure it out of the way without touching any metal. With power ON, test across Terminals 3 and 4. If tester does not light, replace fuse.
2) Check the circuit board - With the power OFF, disconnect red wire from Terminal 1 and secure it out of the way without touching any metal. With power ON, test across Terminals 1 and 2. If tester does not light, replace circuit board.
3) Test the Hot rod - With the power OFF, disconnect red wire from Terminal 1 and secure it out of the way without touching any metal. With power ON, test between Terminal 1 and end of disconnected wire. if tester does not light, replace the hot rod.
WHEN REPLACING THE HOT ROD OR CIRCUIT BOARD IT IS RECOMMENDED TO REPLACE BOTH SINCE THEY WORK HAND IN HAND WITH EACH OTHER.

If potentiometer has been adjusted the rod will no longer work correctly. With power ON, test across Terminals 1 and 2. If tester does not light, replace circuit board.
2) Test the Hot rod - With the power OFF, disconnect red wire from Terminal 1 and secure it out of the way without touching any metal. With power ON, test between Terminal 1 and end of disconnected wire. if tester does not light, replace the hot rod.

The non-stick replacable covers wear with use.
To prolong the life, always keep the cover clean and free of liquid and debris.
Rotate the cover occassionally.
Reduce friction by using an FDA approved lubricant on the cover.
